SAT Autumn Leaves Challenge

Hi Friends! Stephen here to share a card I created using Diana - Sweater Weather
I decided to take inspiration from this months Autumn Leaves Challenge happening over in the Stamp AnnieThing's Stampers Facebook group.

I coloured Diana with my Copic markers as well as did some simple paper piecing using paper with a knit weave patten to it. This was a first for me and I am sure to try paper piecing again.
To create the background, I did some very quick and simple ink blending with Distress Inks. To add more detail, I did some flicking with a green Copic marker to create the look of grass.
To finish my scene, I die cut some clouds and some leaves that I coloured to give an Autumn feel to the card.
I hope you like my card and hope you play along with this month's Theme challenge.

Until next time - Stephen

Stamp Anniething's September Release!

Abigail is available in the store Today along with the other 2 stamps we showed you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I think Abigail - Enjoy The Show is my personal favourite of this release. You just can't get any cuter then her...It also helps that I am a major movie addict :)

I started by colouring Abigail with the following Copic markers

Copics
Hair - E09, YR18, YR14
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E50, E93
Shirt - BG45, BG49, C2, C1, C0, R05, Y02, Y28
Pants - RV23, RV25, RV29
Popcorn Bucket - R08, R05, R02, C2, C0
Chair - B29, B28, B26, B24, B21, T9, T7, T6, T5

once I finished colouring her, I cut her out with my Brother Scan N Cut then popped her up with foam tape.

For my card base, I was inspired to create a movie theatre marquee, based on one of my favourite Disney rides at Hollywood Studios, in Florida - The Great Movie Ride. I created the  marquee sign shape using Silhouette Software on my computer and cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo 3. I also used my Silhouette to create the movie film cutout you see on the card base.

To create the background, I use some transparent texture paste and applied it overtop of a stencil and then sprinkled some glitter overtop of it while it was still wet.

To finish my card off, I added some gold sequins for some extra movie magic sparkle.

and thats a wrap folks...Hope you love the September release as much as I do.

Until Next Time - Stephen

Stamp AnnieThing September Release - Day Two

Hi and welcome to Day #2 of
Stamp Anniething's September Release!

Holly will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we show you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I wanted to experiment with Skin Tones as well as play around with my Distress Oxides on this card. The end result is something a little different style wise for me but I had a lot of fun stepping outside my comfort zone. I started by Colouring Holly with the following Copic markers:

Copics
Skin - E79, E77, E74, E71, E70, E11. E93, E50, E04
Hair - T10, T8, T6, T4
Dress - YR18, YR16, Y17, Y15
Purse- R29, R27, R24, R22, R21

Once I was finished colouring her, I cut her out using my Brother Scan N Cut and popped her up using foam tape.

To create the background, I grabbed an old texture stamp that I purchased years ago and stamped it repeatedly onto kraft card stock using Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks. I then gave it a very light misting with water to activate the Oxide effect of the inks...I love the feel of the Distress Oxides. They are fast becoming one of my favourite inks.

To create the background behind the window, I used Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks...if you haven't Ink blended with these inks yet, they blend like butter.

I heat embossed the sentiment that came with the stamp set onto black card stock using white embossing powder. I then cut the sentiment apart to place it haphazardly.

To finish the card, I added some crystals and a bit of black Nuvo Drops.

Thank you for joining us, we hope you enjoyed our projects for this release!

Stamp AnnieThing September Release - Day One

Hi and welcome to Day #1 of
Stamp Anniething's September Release!

Tommy will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we show you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I will admit I was a little stumped initially as to what I was going to create with this stamp. However the the wheels turned and I decided to put a Pizza spin on this image.
I started by Colouring Tommy with my Copics using the following colours.

Copics
Hair - YR23, YR24, E99
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E50, R20
Shirt - 110, T9, T7, T6, T4
Jeans - B99, B97, B95, B93, B91
Pizza Box - R35, R37, R39, G24, G28, G29, E55, E53, E51

Once he was finished, I cut him out with my Brother Scan N Cut and popped him up with foam tape on the card base.
I created a card layout that was inspired by the themes I imagined would come from old fashioned Pizza parlour. Therefore I went with red plaid pattern paper, warm browns as if from the pizza box itself and then decided to throw in some green as well. I created my own sentiment and used the Silhouette Cameo 3 to cut it out. I then layered everything together, added a heart die cut that I had laying around and finished the card with some black bakers twine.

Thank you for joining us, we hope you enjoyed our projects for this release! Grazie!!

Until Next Time - Stephen

Birthday Bubbles

Hi Friends! Its my day to post on the Stamp AnnieThing blog and I created this fun Birthday card to share with you.
I stamped out Brooke - Smile and coloured her with my Copic markers. I popped Brooke up with foam tape to give dimension and add interest  to my card.
I decided to keep the design of my card pretty clean and simple, so I used a fun and colourful piece of patterned paper which I accented by  stencilling yellow bubbles on the background. To fishish off my card I added a some Nuvo drops. I hope you enjoyed my card creation!

Until Next Time - Stephen
